Our event was definitely more of a success than we, or at least I was expecting. I was mostly a part of the setup, take down, and behind the scenes work required, but I enjoyed being of help to the team, making others life easier, and the several sales I contributed to. I only was able to perform one massage due to the schedule and would have liked to do more, but everyone got treated so there was no issues there. My homemade stuffed rice krispy treats were a major hit which I am very thankful for as it greatly benefited us and those that purchased them. I am looking forward to the Spring where we will hopefully have another massage food sale day and help more people and ourselves.
Great event that really involved the kids in many activities they likely do not get to do very often. The only thing I could wish for is to help more children. I did my best to give every kid that came to my game a great time with as many water balloons as they were willing to throw as I had many balloons and not many children. I may have gotten wet in the process, but it was an easy yet enjoyable game for the kids.
An improvement I could see being of benefit would have a way to make the water balloon game artistic with dye's or paint so the event has a keepsake or even better, the children could have an art piece that they can bring home.
Our PT appreciation event Friday fell short of what we were hoping simply due to the lack of participants. It was a good intra-disciplinary event between the DPT and PTA students, and even some DPT professors, but I wish we had none therapy students to perform the different fun tests on.
