Senior Companion Program

About

Description

Our Lady of the Lake's Senior Companion Program is federally funded and offers assistance to the frail elderly who are homebound, to persons 21 years and older who are disabled, and provides respite for caregivers of Alzheimer's patients living at home.

Companions monitor the safety of their clients, assist with daily living activities, prepare light meals, and provide friendship by talking, listening, playing games or cards, and other activities. This assistance enables clients to remain living independently in their own home for as long as possible.
