Protein is a very important source of nutrition for people living with hunger. Volunteers in the Protein Packaging Center help repackage bulk protein donations into family-size portions. It’s also the coolest place to volunteer! The temperature-controlled environment will have you glad that you dressed accordingly.

 Volunteers must be at least 16 years old.

Requirement Details
Please wear closed-toed shoes. This requirement is for safety reasons. Individuals wearing flip flops, sandals or any shoes where toes are exposed will be unable to volunteer. You must be at least 16 years old for this volunteer project. You will be working in a temperature-controlled environment where the temperature is kept below 58 degrees. Please dress accordingly (long sleeves, a sweater, long pants or sweats). You will wear a smock, pair of gloves and a hairnet during the shift. You will participate in food-safety orientation prior to the shift. For more information, review our frequently asked questions. The Regional Food Bank of Oklahoma is a tobacco-free facility and smoking or the use of vapor devices is only permitted in private vehicles.
